Brakes and Beyond provides and installs Carquest® brand batteries.  Silver, gold, and platinum batteries are covered by the Carquest Battery Assistance Program.    The program reaches across North America providing battery replacement protection and roadside service when and where you need it.  Coverage lasts for 24 months or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the purchase date.  Battery assistance can be obtained at any of over 75,000 participating locations nationwide. Call the nationwide hotline (1-844-255-8137) to receive roadside assistance or be directed to the nearest participating location for complimentary battery replacement.

Highlights of the Carquest Battery Assistance Program

When you purchase a Carquest brand battery from Brakes and Beyond, and have us install it, you are getting more than just a high-quality battery that delivers reliable starts and power every time.  You also get the added protection and peace of mind that come from knowing you are covered by a complimentary Battery Assistance Program should anything happen.

  • For 24 months or 24,000 miles – whichever comes first – from the date your battery was purchased from and installed by Brakes and Beyond, you are covered with:
    • A 24-hour nationwide Battery Assistance Hotline:  1-844-255-8137
    • FREE battery replacement
    • Reimbursed jumpstarts or towing
    • Trip interruption reimbursement
    • Locator Assistance:  If your battery fails and you can’t drive your vehicle to Brakes and Beyond, call 1-844-255-8137 (toll-free) for assistance locating the nearest battery installer.
    • Covers Carquest light-duty silver, gold, and platinum batteries

  • Important restrictions to note:
    • To be eligible for reimbursement you must call the hotline to arrange for roadside assistance.
    • Requests for reimbursement must be submitted within sixty (60) days of battery replacement date.
    • The Benefit Limit is $75 per disablement and is limited to one reimbursement for jump-start or towing per 12 months.
    • Benefits are extended to the original purchaser only.
    • Vehicles must be subjected to normal, non-commercial use.
    • Customer must have a copy of their original Brakes and Beyond repair invoice, and be able to present it when seeking service under this warranty.
    • Incidental or consequential damages are excluded.

Details of the Carquest Battery Assistance Program:

Additional Benefits:

For 24 months / 24,000 miles (whichever is first) after the date you purchased your battery (the “Benefit Period”), the following benefits are available if you experience a problem with the Carquest branded battery installed in your Eligible Vehicle (as defined below):  Roadside Assistance Reimbursement for Battery Jump-Start or Towing, and Trip Interruption Reimbursement.

Roadside Assistance Reimbursement for Battery Jump Start or Towing:

  •  If you are in need of a jump start or towing for your Eligible Vehicle because of a failed battery during the Benefit Period, call the 24-Hour Roadside Assistance toll-free number 1-844-255-8137.
  • To be eligible for reimbursement you must call 1-844-255-8137 to arrange for roadside assistance service.
  • The service provider requires you to provide a credit card number before a service vehicle is dispatched to your location.
  • The Benefit Limit is $75 per disablement and is limited to one reimbursement for jump-start or towing per 12 months.
  • Upon the program administrator’s receipt of your valid request for reimbursement, you will be reimbursed for any payments made by you for a battery jump-start or towing up to a maximum of $75.00.
  •  Covers Carquest light-duty silver, gold, and platinum batteries.

Eligible Vehicle:

Benefits are made available to the vehicle identified on the invoice (the “Eligible Vehicle”) and will be provided to the vehicle owner, spouse and/or dependent children when driving the Eligible Vehicle. Requests for roadside assistance will only be honored for Eligible Vehicles.

Eligible Vehicles Exclude:

  • Any vehicle with a manufacturer’s load rating capacity greater than one ton.
  • Any vehicle with a load capacity of one ton or greater designed for, built for or used in private recreational or commercial application including but not limited to Class A (or Type A) Motorhomes and Class C (or Type C) Motorhomes.
  • Motorcycles, emergency service vehicles, and vehicles used for hire, towing , construction, or postal service.
  • Any vehicle used for farm, ranch, agriculture, or off-road use (off-road use is described as driving on anything that is not a paved or gravel road maintained by the state or local authority)

Locator Assistance:

If your battery fails and you are unable to return you vehicle to the original battery installer, call 1-844-255-8137 (toll-free) for assistance in locating the nearest battery installer.  Service secured through any other source or dispatcher is not eligible for reimbursement.   Assistance is available :

  • Monday – Friday:  8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday:  8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Eastern Time, excluding U.S. holidays

Benefit Reimbursement Procedures:

To submit a request for a new battery and battery installation reimbursement, you must submit the following information within sixty (60) days of the battery replacement date:

  1. Your current contact information, including phone number and address; who the driver of the vehicle was at time of disablement and their relation to the vehicle owner identified on the original battery invoice; and type of assistance for which you are requesting reimbursement.
  2. A legible copy of your original purchase invoice from Brakes and Beyond showing all of the following:
    • Carquest branded battery purchase
    • Purchase date
    • Customer name, home address, and phone number
    • Vehicle year, make, model

For Roadside Assistance Reimbursement, in addition to the materials listed above, also include a legible copy  of your original receipt for roadside assistance (jumpstart or towing) showing the name of the person driving the Eligible Vehicle, the date of service, and the vehicle year, make, and model.  If you did not receive a receipt, you can submit your credit card statement showing the charge for roadside assistance.  Be sure to conceal your credit card number before sending your statement.

Trip Interruption Reimbursement:

If your trip is interrupted because of a battery failure during the Benefit Period and you are more than 100 miles from home, you may qualify for reimbursement for eligible meal and lodging expenses.  These expenses must be incurred because a replacement battery was not available at the time of the failure, causing you to stay overnight before your Eligible Vehicle could be repaired.

You may request reimbursement on (1) time during a 12-month period, not to exceed a total of $250.00 for eligible meal and lodging expenses.

For Trip Interruption Reimbursement, include the following:

  1. A legible copy of your original receipts for meals and lodging
  2. A legible copy of the invoice for the replacement battery showing all of the following:
    • Date of service
    • Retailer name, address, phone number
    • Purchase of a new replacement battery
    • Customer name, home address, and phone number
    • Vehicle year, make, and model
